Project Overview
Hill Head Farm is a family run bed & breakfast in Falmouth, Cornwall. I was approached the proprietor, Veronica Walters in early 2008 about designing a small web site to advertise Hill Head Farm Bed & Breakfast. As the tourist industry is very competitive in Cornwall a striking web site was required to make Hill Head Farm stand out from the other B&B’s in the area.
I set about designing a bright and colourful web site with the aim of capturing the holiday feel that Cornwall is renouned for. The aim was to keep things simple and focus on photos of Falmouth and Cornwall as opposed to a lot of textual information. Bold colours, a small amount of text and a simple Flash gallery were all that was needed to create a simple to use yet visually stunning web site.
