Priden Engineering Ltd was established in 1988 to service the specific requirements of the road transport industry primarily the animal feed sector and stainless steel fabrication.

We were asked to design a new web site for their commercial vehicles division which is the web site you see here, the original Priden Engineering web site is still online and can be found at www.priden.co.uk. As the company is based in Cambridgeshire communication was via telephone and e-mail, we provided Priden with a temporary url so that their staff could see the web sites progress. We have used this method for a number of clients and it seems to work well as it is much easier to gain feedback with a functioning site.

The Priden design brief insisted on a corporate look and feel for the site, something along the lines of the Mercedes, Scania and Renault web sites. With this in mind we used a white and metallic colour palette which helps to highlight the company's red, white and blue logo. We included a short Flash animation on the home page to give it that professional corporate look and we included a large gallery section allowing Priden to really show off its products.

The Priden site is designed using Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop; is coded in XHTML 1.0 and CSS, and adheres to W3C standards.
